In the chaos of corporate life, sometimes all a team needs is fresh air, a change of scenery and waves touching the feet. Team building weekends are not only about games and enjoyments- they are about bonding and growing alongside your colleague.
Recently I had the opportunity to organize a team building weekend for my company. As a first time planner for a retreat, I contacted a Mandarmani resort near beach – The Sana Beach Resort. I want to share my experience and guide you through the full process- from planning to execution and enjoying every bit of it.
If you are a team leader, an HR executive or just someone who is assigned to plan a cool team-building retreat, here is how you can make it more enjoyable at The Sana Beach Resort.
Why The Sana Beach, Mandarmani?
As someone who has visited multiple resorts across company, I can confidently say that The Sana Beach stands out for several reasons:

Realistically, the resort is about 22 km away from the Digha station. Overseeing a beautiful blue Bay of Bengal, the beachfront is commendable.

The location of The Sana Beach made it easier for all the team members to join without a problem. Well connected highways, frequent bus services, and a nearby railway station are some of the best things about the resort.

Initially, we planned the goals that we wanted to achieve:
- Increase communication and bonding
- Celebrate recent project achievements

Creating a perfect itinerary is the key for a balanced weekend team meeting. The itinerary was planned in such a way that everyone had equal amounts of entertainment and the work done to prevent exhaustion. The aim of the weekend trip was to boost energy and a busy itinerary would actually not be successful.
